As I was driving to a meeting I heard the news on the Radio 4’s PM programme about the 73 old Austrian Josef Fritzl who has held his own daughter for 24 years in his celler and sexually abused her including fathered 7 children from her. Como yo estaba conduciendo a una reunión oí la noticia en la Radio 4 PM del programa sobre los 73 de edad austríaco Josef Fritzl que ha celebrado su propia hija durante 24 años en su bodega y su objeto de abusos sexuales entre ellos 7 niños engendrados de ella. He actually confessed to his crimes! En realidad confesó sus crímenes!
I physically felt sick! Me sentía físicamente enfermo! What kind of animal would do that? ¿Qué tipo de animal haría esto? In fact calling him an animal would be an insult to the animals. De hecho, llamándolo un animal sería un insulto a los animales. He is worse than animals. Él es peor que animales.
I can not think of any punishment that would befit this man. No puedo pensar en cualquier castigo que befit este hombre. Should he be killed? En caso de que se le mataron? Should he be locked up? En caso de que se le encerrado? Either way nothing will give back to the innocent victim her lost 24 years, her dignity, her life and sanity! De cualquier manera nada va a devolver a la víctima inocente de su pérdida de 24 años, su dignidad, su vida y la cordura! Nothing will remove this man’s crime from lives of these children, the irony is these children are the living proof. Nada va a eliminar este crimen del hombre de vida de estos niños, la ironía es estos niños son la prueba viviente.
How should Austria deal with him? Austria Cómo debería tratar con él? How should the world deal with such crimes and criminals? ¿Cómo el mundo debe hacer frente a esos crímenes y criminales? I feel if we stay silent or delivers a disproportionate punishment we would all be guilty of committing a grave crime against the victim of this ordeal. Me siento si nos quedamos en silencio o emite un castigo desproporcionado que todos serían culpables de cometer un grave crimen contra la víctima de este calvario. For she deserve justice! Para ella merecen justicia! My heart goes out to the innocent children! Mi corazón va dirigida a los niños inocentes! Can you imagine growing up with such a history? ¿Se imaginan que crecen con una historia de este tipo?
This reminds me of Natascha Kampusch, the Austrian teenager held captive in a cellar in a house in a Vienna suburb for eight years, who ran to freedom in 2006. Esto me recuerda Natascha Kampusch, la adolescente austriaca cautivos en una bodega en una casa en un suburbio de Viena durante ocho años, que es contraria a la libertad en 2006.
It does pose a serious question for many people - should every cellar in Austria be checked? Se plantea una cuestión grave para muchas personas - cada bodega debe en Austria se controla? It is better to be safe then sorry. Es mejor estar seguro entonces lo siento. I know Austrians are shocked and disturbed by this news but this would haunt Austrians for a long time unless they deal with this propblem decisively. Sé que los austríacos están conmovidos y perturbados por esta noticia, pero esto austríacos atormentando durante mucho tiempo a menos que hacer frente a esta decisiva propblem. How many more cellars are holding young children captives? ¿Cuántos más bodegas están celebrando niños pequeños cautivos? How many more are being abused? ¿Cuántas más se abusa?

I was invited to Peterborough to deliver a lecture on what would Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) say if he was to descend amongst us today. Se me invitó a Peterborough para ofrecer una conferencia sobre lo que el Profeta Muhammad (la paz sea sobre él) decir si iba a descender entre nosotros hoy. The lecture was held in one of the Mosques in the middle of the town and attracted a good crowd, all of them were Muslims. La conferencia se celebró en una de las mezquitas en el centro de la ciudad y atrajo a un buen grupo, todos ellos son musulmanes. In my personal view I believe if the blessed prophet was here today he would encourage all people to - En mi opinión personal creo que si el profeta fue bendecido hoy aquí que alentaría a todas las personas --
1. Find peace in their lives and spread peace in the world 1. Encontrar la paz en sus vidas y extender la paz en el mundo
2. Care for the people of the world regardless of the background 2. Atención a los pueblos del mundo, independientemente de los antecedentes
3. Share the good teachings of Islam Compartir las buenas enseñanzas del Islam
4. Open the doors of the mosques so everybody could benefit from them Abrir las puertas de las mezquitas para que todos puedan beneficiarse de ellos
5. Work together for the common good Trabajar juntos para el bien común
“You have been sent to be nothing but a mercy to the universe”, God clearly summarized in the Quran the Prophetic mission. He stood by the poor and the needy to create a society based on honour and equality , he challenged the oppressors and declared justice as an absolute moral imperative, he restored the rights of widows and gave shelter and hope to the orphans. "Usted ha sido enviado a ser nada más que una misericordia para el universo", Dios se resumen claramente en el Corán la misión profética. Él era de los pobres y los necesitados para crear una sociedad basada en el honor y la igualdad, que impugnó los opresores y declaró la justicia como un imperativo moral absoluta, se restauró los derechos de las viudas y le dio refugio y esperanza a los huérfanos. He embodied all the goodness, morality and character. He said in one of his speeches that he was sent to refine to perfection the character of people and if he was here today he would do exactly that.
